02.22.11Busy days for LES Hot Club
It's been a pretty exciting past few weeks for LES Hot Club. Although we've missed "The Pook" who has been in Germany for the past month we have been playing some cool gigs with Rob Thomas filling in on violin. The Friday before last we played The Philadelphia Museum of Art, in a beautiful huge hall that looked like an ancient Greek palace or something for a crowd of around 300 or so. Then last Friday we were playing Paddy Reilly's Bar and had a surprise visit from Stephane Grappelli's longtime bassist, Jon Burr who sat in with us for a swingin' Honeysuckle Rose and a rousing Minor Swing. Big thanks to Shien Lee and Lynn Redmile for helping make these events playout!
